women are also feeling lonely and alienated from communities en masse women are also expected to stifle their mental health for the sake of perfomance at work, in relationships, for children ect women are also expected to work extremely hard to maintain a perfect body and perfect health and are punished for being fat/having hair loss/having health issues especially those that affect ones sex life women are also insecure women are also neglected by parents and teachers and authority figures women are also scrutinized for having emotions and punished for not meeting the gendered expectations of our class and expected to climb upwards and overcompensate while being punished for signs of poverty and we get the added bonus on top of, yknow, being women. your emotional issues are not a Crisis Attacking Manhood theyre the way our society is fucking built you just dont see women as people

this is probs a little silly; but do you have a clearer picture of the chain of events in ep31 of Lbfad? After Dfqc pretends he doesn’t love Xiao lanhua he tells Xunfeng to watch her-Xunfeng was 100% acting on his own when he started talking to Xiao lanhua right? Dfqc was painting himself as a villain, so Xunfeng’s saying that Dfqc was made to suffer would be going against that image

I would have to rewatch to get the exact sequence of events, but yeah Xunfeng went off script. The plan was to make XLH stop loving DFQC so the bracelet could be removed and she’d be safe, but Xunfeng kind of did his own thing. CERTAINLY DFQC did not want Xunfeng to tell XLH about the sword. XF doing so is what made XLH decide to sacrifice herself, which is the opposite of what DFQC wanted.
Would be interesting to see a fic where they have to reconcile with that post-canon; that XLH would not have sacrificed herself on the battlefield if Xunfeng hadn’t told her about the sword. Of course, she would have died either way because she wasn’t going to stop loving him, but I think DFQC would have some residual anger over XF’s actions that they’d have to deal with.

something i’ve noticed. people seem to think the most nature-y nature is forests. so forests are always prioritized for conservation, and planting trees is synonymous with ecological activism. my state was largely prairies and wetlands before colonization. those ecosystems are important too. trees aren’t the end-all be-all of environmentalism. plant native grasses. protect your wetlands.
deserts also!!! it sucks so bad that people think of desert as ‘wasteland’ just because it’s not suited for western european style ag development, they’re beautiful and delicate and valuable ecosystems and, i think it’s good to point out that humans have been living willingly in them for thousands of years
